Redevelopment of the Animal Welfare Legue website came with
major challenges: - to build a platform whereby the client, independently,
has complete control of the website's content, appearance and functionality;
- whereby
the client can create, remove and modify website pages using images, tables and
advanced text formatting;
- a platform that could be operated by any employee
of Animal Welfare Legue possessing basic word processing skills only.
These
challenges were met using the iSmart Create content management platform. The unique
plug-in style architecture of iSmart Create has allowed Animal Welfare Legue to
build a modular website which can be expanded or contracted as needed. Current
subscription based plugins used include iSmart Shopper for the website's online
shopping facility; iSmart Catalogue for animal inventory presentation; iSmart
Poll for weekly website polls; and iSmart Announce for managing monthly email
newsletters. |
